I’ve been part of many women’s communities, online and in real life, and one thing kept coming up: travel. It was always the most inspiring, energizing topic in the group, but also the one that felt the most overwhelming to actually plan. So many women wanted to take a solo trip or find a more flexible way to explore, but didn’t know where to start or what tools were available.
As I dug deeper and started researching what options were out there, I realized there wasn’t one place that really spoke to solo and sometimes-social travel in a fun, modern, and empowering way. The more I learned, the more I wanted to share. That’s how Just Go Solo was born, as a trusted starting point for women who want to travel on their own terms, whether that means a weekend escape, a self-discovery journey, or a bucket-list adventure.
Sometimes. Some links on the site will be affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you book or purchase something. It doesn’t cost you anything extra and we only include affiliate links to experiences or products we truly love and think you will too. (And no, not all links are commissionable!)
The site was initially created with no affiliate links but as the cost to run it adds up, it helps offset some of those costs so that we can continue to invest in new features. Everything we created here was initially designed and decided based on what adds value. Then we looked to see if we could earn a small commission from some of the places featured on our site in order to help ensure that we can sustain the expenses to be around long term.
If you're a travel advisor, planner, or company that creates amazing trips for solo travelers (especially women!), you can email us at partners@justgosolo.com.
We carefully review submissions to make sure they align with our mission of safe, inspiring, and solo-friendly travel. We will get to know you and what you offer and hope to be able to include you on JustGoSolo.com!
Easy! If there's a type of trip, destination, or tool you’d love to see on the site, email us at requests@justgosolo.com. We’re always building, testing, and improving and your ideas help shape what comes next.
If you would like a sponsored blog post that highlights your travel business at the end of the content, please share information on the helpful content you would like to provide via that sponsored blog post. The blog content itself needs to be helpful for women travelers but for providing the content and insights, you are welcome to feature your business at the end of the blog article.
While our focus is solo and social travel for women, anyone who’s curious, respectful, and excited to explore is welcome here!
We haven’t personally tried and tested every tour company, planner, or tool featured on Just Go Solo, but we do research each one before sharing. We believe everything we include is a legitimate, trustworthy, and positive option for women travelers.
That said, every trip and traveler is different. We always recommend doing your own due diligence before booking. Read recent reviews, ask questions, and make sure it feels right for you.
Your safety, comfort, and joy matter most.
Nope. We don’t book trips or act as travel agents. We’re an independent platform created to spark ideas, share resources, and connect you to the planners, products, and experiences that can help make your trip incredible.
You can always email us through our contact form if you have something you would like included or requests for additional resources. It's still a work in progress with exciting things ahead!
We love hearing from solo travelers. If you’ve discovered a destination, tour, tip, or product that helped you travel better, head to our Contact Us page or email us at share@justgosolo.com. We may feature your suggestion on our website!
We value your experience and insights and so will other women.
Our featured travel tools were designed or included to help simplify your travel search and planning.
You can use our custom tools to get trip suggestions based on your travel vibe, get ideas for things to do, and get safety insights on a specific destination. Try them out on our Travel Tools page—it’s free and fun!
Please note that our Just Go Solo travel tools were built with a help from AI magic (powered by ChatGPT) along with our own custom agent. Please always double-check and trust your own travel instincts!
Maybe! If you’re a solo traveler or writer with a story to share that fits our tone and mission, send us a pitch. We’re looking for real, relatable stories and tips that help others feel empowered to travel solo.
You can email us at requests@justgosolo.com.
We’re just getting started! In the future, we plan to feature more stories from solo travelers, expand our network of travel planners and advisors, and highlight even more tours, experiences, and resources to help you feel inspired, informed, and ready to go.
We also want to show how flexible and personal solo travel can be. Whether you're going fully solo, mixing in a little social time, or just traveling on your own to meet up with others, there’s no one right way to do it. If it works for you and fills your cup, that’s what matters.
Our goal is to be your starting point and your momentum, helping you turn the idea of “maybe I could go” into “I’m so glad I did.” Travel is healthy. It expands your mind, your heart, and your sense of what’s possible. And we’d love to see more women around the world embrace solo and social travel in their own way.
If Just Go Solo helps you or inspires someone you know, please share it. That’s how we grow this movement, together.
